The Asphalt Pavement Association of New Mexico (APANM) recently awarded a $2,000 scholarship to one of our graduate students, Amina Mannan, at the 53rd Paving and Transportation Conference sponsored by the Department of Civil Engineering. The scholarship is awarded to a student who is interested in pursuing a career in the transportation/geotechnical/pavement engineering in New Mexico. Amina is a PhD student in the department concentrating on geotechnical engineering and studying under Dr. Rafiqul Tarefder.
