The course is Engineering 195.
Course activities include:
- Explore the natural and engineered water cycles of the Rio Grande
- Visit headwater streams, water diversions, irrigation projects & water treatment plants
- Gain experience with basic math and programming skills for describing the water cycle
- Tour UNM laboratories to see ongoing research projects and opportunities for undergraduate students
- Meet water professionals, current students, and UNM professors
- Learn about career opportunities in water resources and environmental engineering
Course Description:
- Three week summer session course for incoming UNM students
- June 15th through July 3rd, 2015
- Earn 3 credit-hours in engineering
- $500 participant stipend
