Engineering in Action to feature Center for Water and the Environment on June 25
June 7, 2021 - by Kim Delker
The next edition of “Engineering in Action: How Our Innovation is Impacting Our Community,” a periodic virtual series presented by The University of New Mexico School of Engineering, will feature a discussion with researchers from UNM’s Center for Water and the Environment.
“Cleaning Up Our Wastewater: What Happens When Bacteria Compete for Nutrients,” will be at 3 p.m. June 25 on Zoom.
The presentation will focus on how researchers at the Center for Water and the Environment, a School of Engineering research center, are using science and engineering to study and remove harmful substances in our water.
It will feature an introduction by center director Kerry Howe, and research and discussion by Derek Belka, Haley Ormsbee and Andrew Schuler, all from the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering.
