Dr. Taha Awarded NSF EAGER Grant to Study Recycled Carbon Fibers

Dr. Mahmoud Reda Taha, Professor & Chair, UNM Civil Engineering and Dr. Mehran Tehrani, Assistant Professor, UNM Mechanical Engineering, have just been awarded an NSF EAGER Grant to study the use of recycled carbon fibers to produce low-cost polymer composites. The new grant entitled "EAGER: Engineering a Low-Cost Polymer Composite Based on Recycled Carbon Fibers," is under the direction of Dr. Taha and has been awarded to start July 15, 2015.
