Alumna Sandra Begay making a brighter tomorrow for American Indian tribes

Sandra Begay, who earned a civil engineering bachelor’s degree from UNM, has spent her career at Sandia National Laboratories working wtih Native American tribes to develop renewable energy solutions.
This week, she is visiting an American Indian tribe in Washington state. In a recent Albuquerque Journal article, read more about her work and her journey to becoming an engineer and a role model for future engineers, especially Native Americans.
