Lobo Builders earn Top-10 Finish in National Association of Homebuilders Competition
February 18, 2021
What would you do if you were asked to develop a 300-acre site in North Carolina? That is just what the Lobo Builders did for the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) student competition. For the competition, a team of five students from the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering were given the problem of developing a tract of land to turn it into a profitable housing development. The Lobo Builders submitted a detailed development proposal in December and made a virtual presentation to NAHB members in February. The result was a top-10 finish out of 29 schools in the competition. Congratulations to Jakeline Lopez Mendez, Nicole Nimeh, Cole Evans, Ethan Kapp, and Jaan Yang!
