ASCE fall conference

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more than 150,000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries. Founded in 1852, ASCE is the nation’s oldest engineering society. This Fall, on Oct. 17 and 18, 2019, UNM Civil Engineering students participated in the ASCE NM Section Fall Conference held, at NM Tech in Socorro, NM. Two PhD students, Roya Nasimi and Xinxing Yuan, participated and gave presentations as part of the conference program. Dr. Fernando Moreu, the students’ advisor, accompanied UNM CCEE team to the conference.
