The 2016 ITE Western District Meeting is coming to Albuquerque July 10-13 at the Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town. This meeting brings together some 450 transportation engineers, planners, vendors, and students from 13 western states to participate in presentations of technical papers, vendor exhibits, student and young member professional development sessions, social events, and student competitions.
The NMITE Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) is seeking Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering students to attend and volunteer to help run the conference by assisting at the registration desk, assisting moderators and speakers, checking lunch and event tickets, accompanying technical tours, and other miscellaneous tasks.
Student early registration for the conference is $150 until April 15. After that date, student registration is $250. The New Mexico Section of ITE has some funding available to support UNM students who commit to volunteering at the conference. The LAC will hold the early bird rate until the April 29 UNM Student Chapter Meeting, but we need your final commitment to attend at that time. Once we know how many UNM students will participate, we will determine the level of NM Section support. Please inform UNM Student Chapter President Robert Garcia rgarcia713@unm.edu if you will attend and work as a volunteer at the conference.
