Earthquake Engineering Research Institute Kickoff Meeting
April 21, 2016
The new UNM Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) chapter is having its first public event next Thursday, April 28, in the Stamm Commons room of the Centennial Engineering Center, room 1044, and we wanted to invite the faculty and both undergraduate and graduate students of the Civil Engineering Department.
The scope of this event is to introduce the new chapter to students and have a presentation from Dr. Yongchao Yang from Los Alamos National Laboratory. Dr. Yang is going to give a talk about, “Full-Field Structural Dynamics by Video Motion Manipulations”.
This is a very good opportunity for the students to get in touch with professionals and researchers in the earthquake engineering field, which for sure will enrich their education and professional skills.
