Hojati part of UNM team to examine moon geology

Maryam Hojati, an assistant professor in the Gerald May Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, is part of a team of UNM researchers awarded $7.5 million over 5 years by NASA to examine the geology of the moon. The funding will establish the Center for Advanced Sample Analysis of Astromaterials from the Moon and Beyond (CASA Moon) and will focus on studying the lunar crust through lunar sample analysis.
