Graduate Students in Dr. Gonzalez-Pinzon's Lab Win Awards at the 2018 Rocky Mountain AWWA Student Conference

Justin Nichols presented a 2-minute flash presentation titled “In-Situ Aquatic Sensor Networks: The Next Breakthrough to Understanding Nutrient Dynamics”, at the 2018 Rocky Mountain AWWA student conference. His topic focused on how aquatic sensor networks are changing the fields of Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering by capturing spatial and temporal complexities present in nutrient dynamics. Justin’s presentation took first place in the flash presentation category at the conference.
Kelsey Bicknell received 3rd for her 2-minute speech discussing the FEW Nexus and how she is studying the potential for the agriculture system to reuse wastewater for growing forage crop in the Middle Rio Grande Basin.
