Two civil engineering faculty members, Dr. Vanessa Valentin and Dr. Jose Cerrato, will receive awards from the School of Engineering for their superior accomplishments and service to the School of Engineering in 2016-17.  Dr. Valentin will receive the SOE Junior Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, and Dr. Cerrato will receive the SOE Junior Faculty Research Excellence Award.

Dr. Valentin is Assistant Professor in construction, and Dr. Cerrato is an Assistant Professor in environmental.

The award consists of a plaque and a check. The plaque will be presented at the SOE Annual Awards event, Thursday, May 4, 2017 in the CEC Auditorium. Award presentations will begin at 3:30pm, with a reception to follow in the Stamm Commons.
