Course activities include:

  • Explore the natural and engineered water cycles of the Rio Grande
  • Visit headwater streams, water diversions, irrigation projects & water treatment plants
  • Gain experience with basic math and programming skills for describing the water cycle
  • Tour UNM laboratories to see ongoing research projects and opportunities for undergraduate students
  • Meet water professionals, current students, and UNM professors
  • Learn about career opportunities in water resources and environmental engineering

Course Description:

  • Three week summer session course for incoming UNM students                                           
  • June 15th through July 3rd, 2015
  • Earn 3 credit-hours in engineering
  • $500 participant stipend
