Biography

Dr. Mercuri conducts research on technological processes related to injection of fluid into the terrestrial subsurface and their interaction with natural and human induced seismicity. She is also interested in developing techniques, materials and models for the seismic retrofitting of structures. For example, she  has applied concepts from fracture mechanics to investigate the interaction between seismic actions and structural behaviors.
